22nd July 2009 – Lesson 6
25 July 2009
Ms. Suma started today’s lesson by showing us a video from YouTube by Kevin Roberts from Saatchi & Saatchi, which was about ideas as the currency of future. This video did mention about leadership, emotion intelligence and social intelligence. After finished watching the video, Ms. Suma explained about the Johari Window which consists of four areas – open or free area, blind area, hidden area and unknown area. She did show us the differences of Johari Window for new and established member by drawing them out in a table form on the white board. She then further explained other four quadrant behavior models which include forming, storming, norming and, performing and adjourning.
After that, we had given a class activity again. Ms. Suma prepared four pieces of paper which contained four temperaments – Catalyst, Stabilizer, Theorist and Improviser, and put each of them at four side corner of the classroom. She wanted us to stand at the side which best describe our personality and characteristic and I was in the Catalyst’s group which describe about the meaning and significance that come from having a sense of purpose and working toward some greater good. When everybody had chosen the group where they belonged to, Ms. Suma asked us to describe and give some examples for the temperament that we have chosen.
After the break, we shifted to computer lab to sit for the temperament test at www.keirsey.com which consists of 71 questions and my result was Artisan.
